Charleton and his crew are nothing short of AMAZING. Beginning with the first phone call and ending with the end of our walk thru at my house inspection, I was treated with real, genuine, sincere care and concern for my family and our new home. Not only is he an expert at what he does, he takes pride in his work and is very detail oriented. He is super friendly and very down to earth, all while maintaining extreme professionalism. I literally want to buy another house just so I can have him do our inspection again. You will not be disappointed by choosing him and his crew for your needs!!

Very thorough inspection. It's clear Charleton is passionate about his work. The final report was extremely complete and very helpful with making decisions regarding the purchase of our new home. I was truly pleased with the service provided by Charleton Goodwin of First Choice Inspectors. Upon arrival the professionalism and courteousness of the inspectors stood out. Each item was properly explained as immediate repairs or general maintenance. The additional materials provided also added a check sheet for future references to keep your home in the best condition possible. Mr Goodwin and his team were very thorough and detail oriented. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend their service. First Choice was the best choice!

I am so happy I called around and went with First Choice. For us, it wasn’t about the best quote, but about the most trustworthy and thorough home inspection company. I believe you can tell a lot through a phone call, and each conversation I had was great, and ultimately why I decided to go with them, along with the great reviews. (Plus, it helped that they were one of the lowest quotes we received.) They were thorough and polite in explaining everything, and the warranties they offer was an added bonus! They were able to come out the next morning! Wow! I showed up towards the end of the inspection, and was provided a thorough explanation of everything that the report would list. They also walked through the house to show me things, and even taught me how to use the gas burning fireplace! I love that they explained even the smallest of repairs that needed to be done, like a slow draining sink due to clogged hair. That shows me that they really do a thorough inspection making sure you’re buying a great home! I will never use another company for my home inspections. Trustworthy, kind, and thorough! What else could you ask for?

Charleton is a super nice guy. He was very thorough and explained what he was looking for those not familiar with the process. I am new to the area and was looking for some help to work on my home. Charleton provided good recommendations and references for other professionals from personal experience, if needed. (plumber, electrician, etc.) Aside from doing a detailed inspection of the home and providing a very easy to read and understandable report, the experience was very enjoyable. I would highly recommend to anyone needing an amazing inspection with great service.

As a realtor I have dealt with a lot of inspectors and none of them have been as in-depth to explain the process to the home owners and explain what they needed to do in the future to maintain their home. Charleton is quite knowledgeable and will walk you through the inspection process. His reports are easy to read and understand and give you tips for future maintenance. I had two small issues that came up; he did not inspect the garage the first time out (we were very excited about this garage!) but came back another day and gave us that report. And the inspection report suggested a dedicated 220 volt outlet for a dryer that we requested of the home sellers. The dryer was gas (I had no idea). But thanks Charleton for a good experience! I do feel his personality shines through and he takes his job quite seriously. He is very friendly, just a great person and quite accommodating to my schedule.

Charleton was fantastic. I walked through the house during the inspection with him and he was very thorough and explained what he was looking for and why. He gave helpful tidbits along the way. He offers a variety of recommendations for other companies and states that you don’t have to use any of them and never feel pressured to. The report he gives is very detailed and thorough with tons of pictures. Great owner and a great inspector. Highly recommend.

Can't say enough about Charlton and his team. Setting the appointment was very easy, and I was able to get the inspection done in only 2 days, which was great!I had specific questions about the house I was looking to purchase and wanted to speak with Charlton himself because I was told he was a mason. Charlton called me personally and answered all my questions in a very direct manor, which I appreciated!I've had inspections before when purchasing a house so I can say from experience that this was much more thorough and complete. I can't imagine he missed anything. He took the time to explain everything to me as we walk through and around the house. I had the feeling that there was genuine concern for my well being and I will certainly be using Charlton again!He is a few dollars more expensive then his competition, but I am very confident that is a few dollars well spent. The home inspection is not something I wan't to go cheap on and I believed he more than earned every penny. The home inspection is not something you wanna cut corners on. Great job! Great guy! I would recommend him to anyone with confidence.

Charlton did an awesome job. Thirty page detailed report and the flash drive of pics of the I was going to buy n Decherd. Well worth the money. Charlton saved me thousands. Without the report I would have bought the house. Since the report found was very detailed I made the decision not to buy the home. It would be cost to much to get the home to my standards. Thank you again Charlton when I find another home I'm interested in buying I will b calling you again. Thank you again for being an honest business man with morals. It was quite refreshing to meet someone who isn't just out for the money.

Great company! We live in NJ and are buying a home in Tennessee and by recommendation from our realtor we used First Choice Home Inspection to inspect our home. We were shocked when we got the inspection report how thorough it was. He even told us how many light bulbs were out in the house. He caught things that we totally missed when we were in the home the week before even noticing a chip in the master bedroom window. Thanks so much! Highly recommend!!!

The owner is amazing. We bought a home that is very rural and needed someone ASAP. Be had no problem coming all the way out to do it on a weekend and short notice.
